Najeebullah, a Deputy Assistant Director at National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has reportedly been abducted.
His brother, Asadullah Khan in an FIR which was registered at Police Station Ramna stated that his brother Najeebullah who is deputy assistant director at NADRA Headquarters left the home for his office at 9pm but he hasn’t returned home yet.
In the FIR which was registered on January 31, 2024, it was stated by the complainant that today’s evening at 10:40am Najeebullah called him from his WahtsApp number and told him that he was going to Peshawar.
Later on during evening he made another call and told his brother that he will remain in Peshawar tonight. His brother felt fear in his voice and it seemed to him that his brother was in trouble. According to the complainant there was nothing in Peshawar for his brother to attend and expressed his fear that his brother has been abducted.
Meanwhile NADRA in a communique to the media stated that media reports on the disappearance of a NADRA staff member are concerning. NADRA administration has made contact with the family. The police are actively investigating, and we remain optimistic for his safe return and a quick resolution to this matter, it added.
