Bilawal Bhutto assures to appear before corruption watchdog: NAB

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday has termed the media reports attributed to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as contrary to a letter written to NAB Rawalpindi by Bilawal Bhutto through his lawyer saying that he will have no objection in appearing before NAB’s the joint investigation team (JIT) after January 15.
According a to a press release issued by corruption watchdog it is clarified that Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto has no objection to appear before the JIT of NAB.
The NAB clarified that contrary to media reports that he (Bhutto) declined to appear before NAB he has agreed to appear before the JIT after mid of next month.
Moreover, it maintained that media reports that he would not appear before the team is against his assurance given to the NAB.
Furthermore filthy language used or threat given by a party chairman to NAB could not stop it from performing its legal duties in accordance with law, it further maintained.
It stated that NAB is working to eradicate corruption from the country and it strongly believes in having point of view/statement of any person against whom probe is continuing aiming to fulfil all legal requirements of justice. The accused could not deprived from his legal right as per law.
