Motorway Police foils bid to smuggle arms and ammunition

Motorway Police foiled a bid to smuggle heavy arms and ammunition in huge quantity and arrested the persons involved in the heinous crime.
Pak Chronicle has learnt that while patrolling at Motorway at Swabi the officials asked the driver of a vehicle bearing number LWQ 3072 to stop who had committed the violation.
After little bit struggle they made vehicle to stop and they also observed suspicious attitude of the driver in this process, the spokesman of Motorway Police said.
On inspection of the vehicle they recovered heavy quantity of weapons from it.
The motorway police recovered 23 pistols 12 short guns, 350 rounds, 84 pistol magazine and other items.
After recovering these items the police arrested three accused namely, Bilal son of Nazeer, Hussain Shair son of Rahim Shah and Sajid Khan son of Ghalib Shair.

The IG Motorway Police, Ishfaq Ahmad while lauding the performance of the motorway police awarded appreciation letters and cash award to the personnel of the force.
