Fawad Ch terms resolution about publically hanging of rapists/killers as another expression of extremism

Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has condemned the resolution which was adopted by the National Assembly in whihc publicly hanging was demanded for persons involved in rape and killings of minor children.
The federal minister termed act like it as a brutal civilization practices and expressed acts like it as an expression of extremism.
“Strongly condemn this resolution this is just another grave act in line with brutal civilisation practices, societies act in a balanced way barberiaism is not answer to crimes…… this is another expression of extremism,” the federal minister states in a tweet on Sunday.
Tabled by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, the House adopted a resolution strongly condemning the rape of a minor child in Nowshera and demanded death punishment as well as public hanging for those involved in such shameful incidents.
“This house strongly condemns the brutal killing of eight years old Auz Noor in Nowshera and demands that to stop these shameful and brutal killings of children and give a strong deterrent effect, the killers/rapists should not only be given death penalty by hanging but they should be hanged publically,” had stated the resolution adopted by the National Assembly on Friday.
The State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan had presented this resolution in the House.
An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Nowshera last month. The police had claimed to have arrested two suspects in the case.
According to some media reports Nowshera police said that the minor girl, identified as ‘Auz Noor’, had left her house in the Kaka Sahib area for classes at the local madrassa. But when she did not return home by evening, the family started getting worried and went searching for her.
“Noor went missing and her body was recovered from a water tank meant for watering crops,” a police official had stated and added that they found torture marks on the girl’s body and suspected that she had been allegedly raped and then murdered.
Later, medical reports from a local hospital also confirmed that the minor had been sexually assaulted.
Asjid Jehan, the father of the deceased minor, lodged a first information report (FIR) with the police. According to the FIR, the family handed over two suspects, identified as Abshaar son of Abdullah Shah and Rafiqul Wahab to police. The FIR further claimed the suspects had allegedly drowned Noor in the water tank and when they saw people searching for her, they left her there and fled.
This is pertinent to mention here that cases of killings of minor children after raping them have been surfacing in large number recently throughout the cou
ntry.
During last month the National Assembly also passed the Zainab Alert, Recovery and Response Bill.
While recognising the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, lawmakers felt it necessary to create a new law for “missing and abducted children” given the “high risk of violence, exploitation, abuse, trafficking, rape or death”.
Tabled by the Human Rights Ministry, the bill is named after Zainab Ansari, who was brutally raped and killed in Kasur three years ago. The child’s murder sparked protests across the country, demanding her killer be brought to justice.
