Pakistani Nation Stands with Kashmiris

MUSLIM Institute organized a rally on Kashmir Solidarity Day from China Chowk Blue Area to Press Club Islamabad.

Large number of people belonging to different walks of life including members of civil society, political and social sector, students, lawyers and journalists participated in the rally, stated a press release issued on Wednesday.

According to it participants of rally carried placards and banners displaying slogans about Kashmiris’ right of self-determination, condemnation of state terrorism by India, condemnation of lock down in Occupied Kashmir, solidarity with Kashmiris and urging international community to play its due role for just resolution of Kashmir issue.

Speakers urged that Kashmir Freedom Struggle is continued since last two centuries and Indian atrocities cannot suppress it forcefully.

Chairman Senate Committee on Defence Production Lt General Abdul Qayyum (Retired), Farzana Yaqoob Former Minister for Social Welfare and Women Development in AJK, Brig (R) Abdur Rehman Bilal, Social Activist, Shameem Shal, American Social Activist Cynthia D Ritchie, Ahmad Raza and representatives of All Parties Huriyyat Conference were leading the rally.

While addressing the rally, speakers observed that Pakistani nation stands with Kashmiris and will continue supporting them morally, legally, diplomatically and politically until they get their due rights promised under international law.

Occupied Kashmir is in severe lock down and Indian forces are not allowing journalists and observers to visit the areas where they are committing severe human rights violations. Fascist government of Nerandra Modi is trying to challenge the identity of Kashmir and Kashmiri through demographic changes and other illegal means.

Kashmiris are determined in their movement and until last Kashmiri is alive, they are not ready to surrender their freedom struggle. Due to extremist and fascist policies and atrocities again minorities, India is near to break down.  Speakers emphasizes that it is high time for international community to play its role to stop India from committing large scale genocide as hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris already have sacrificed their lives. Speakers further said that Kashmir is a disputed territory under the resolutions of United Nations and it is the oldest on the agenda of UN.

International media should highlight the lock down of Kashmir and the human rights violations of India. Furthermore, the Indian aggression against Pakistan will be dealt with heavy hands in case Indian government tried for any misadventure. Kashmir is a nuclear flash points and peace of whole region is linked with peace in Kashmir. International human rights organizations should take notice of severe violations of basic human rights by Indian state apparatus, the press release concluded.
