PETA approves Kylie Jenner’s bold lion head dress, ‘Fabulously innovative’

Kylie Kristen Jenner, an American media personality, stunned the fans by wearing a unique strapless velvet gown which had a lion head on top of it during the Paris Fashion Week recently.

The distinctive dress of Jenner’s received mixed reviews from the netcitizens as some lauded her while some criticized her for wearing an outfit which is symbolizing animal cruelty.

Kylie Kristen Jenner is an American media personality, a socialite and a businesswoman whose outfits generally enormously draw the attention of internet users.

She has starred in many popular television series and she also owns Kylie Cosmetics which is a cosmetic company. According to some reliable estimates she has the third most followed personality who is followed on a social media platform, Instagram.

According to some media reports,  Kylie Jenner attended Monday’s Schiaparelli Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week – wearing a strapless black velvet gown topped with an eerily lifelike lion head and left fans stunned.

Following her appearance in the dress fashion show she earned the nod of The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) which is non-profit animal rights organizations and it generally strives and thrives for the rights of animals in the world.

Kylie Jenner lion dress and PETA statement on her lion dress has been taking rounds on the social media which was reflecting mixed views and sentiments of internet users.

Following the statement of PETA, the Jenner’s lion headdress controversy settled in her favor and it became a Win Win situation for her.

Although it initiated animal rights debate on social media and the animal rights activism surfaced with its full potential but then an NGO working for the rights of the animals supported her in this process. However, still there continues a debate on social media platforms about ethical fashion.

The NGO PETA issued a statement about Schiaparelli’s gown during a recent interview with Page Six Style.

“PETA’s President, Ingrid Newkirk, praised the fashion house for its “fabulously innovative” animal headdresses, which were also worn by Irina Shayk and Naomi Campbell,” quoted some media outlets recently.

Ingrid Newkirk was of the view that Kylie, Naomi and Irina’s looks celebrate the beauty of wild animals and may be a statement against trophy hunting, in which lions and wolves are torn apart to satisfy human egotism,” she told a media outlet.

Meanwhile she also lauded Schiaparelli for creativity revolving around the use of faux-fur throughout the entire collection.
“We encourage everyone to stick with 100 per cent cruelty-free designs that showcase human ingenuity and prevent animal suffering,” she further stated.

Moreover she asked Jenner and her others to use the creativity to exclude sheep shorn bloody for wool and silkworms boiled alive in their cocoons.
