Hawks Bay KMC’s Huts Allotment Cancelled

Administrator and Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani Monday cancelled allotment of all huts at Hawks Bay and directed Land department to take control of the huts.
All allotees have been issued notices and action would be taken against the defaulters according to law, stated a press release issued by the media department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
The administrator said that there are 254 huts of KMC which were given on three-year allotment. All huts would be auctioned as per market value as it would increase the department’s revenue.
Shallwani said that the purpose behind the act is to make good use of KMC’s assets and increase its revenue to provide better civic facilities to the people. He directed the land department to make the process of allotment and rent transparent and make a mechanism to facilitate the citizens.
The administrator said that huts at Hawks Bay is the source of entertainment for the people and it is responsibility of the KMC to provide facilities to the people, the press release concluded.
