Flour crisis causes transfers/postings in Punjab

Government of Punjab as part of its strategy to calm down the situation emerging after flour crisis and to resolve it in the province has reportedly transferred Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi.

Sardar Saifullah Khan Dogar a 19 grade officer and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi has been transferred and he has been directed to report to Services and General Administration Department for further order.

Moreover, Captain (Retired) Muhammad Anwar-ul-Haq has been posted as DC Rawalpindi in his place.

Notification into this effect was issued by Chief Secretary Punjab, Major (Retired) Azam Suleman Khan on January 20.

Earlier on Monday the Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar had summoned an important session on flour crisis in the province.

According to the media reports, CM Usman Buzdar was supposed to get briefing from the provincial food minister Sami Ullah Chaudhary on the shortage of flour.

Moreover, the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar conducted raids at various sale points of flour in Jaranwala.

CM Usman Buzdar took an action and suspended officials of provincial food department besides making an assistant commissioner as OSD.
