Covid-19- Tourist activities banned in Kaghan

Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned all kind of tourist activities in the jurisdiction of Kaghan Development Authority.

In a letter issued on May 19, 2020 by the Kaghan Development Authority  it is stated that in the light of direction of Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received through Commissioner Hazara Division that no tourist activities shall be initiated and carried in the tourist areas till further order.

“Keeping in view the above decision and prevailing emergency situation, due to pandemic Covid-19 all visiting spots, hotels, restaurants, parks and other tourist activities etc will remain closed till further order in the jurisdiction of Kaghan Development Authority in the best interest of public safety.

If any violation is observed strict action will be initiated against the violators,” stated the official letter of Kaghan Development Authority.

This is pertinent to mention here that Naran and Kaghan valley is about 240 kilometer away from Islamabad in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. These tourist spots host the hottest tourist destination for summer holidays in the country.

Thousands of tourists each year generally visit these areas to explore the beauty of nature besides enjoying their vacations.

Main attractions are Shogran, Siri Paye, Kaghan, Naran, Lake Saif-ul-Malook, and Babusar Top, Lulusar Lake etc.

For night stay Shogran and Naran are considered one of the best destinations as various types of hotels are available in these areas for tourists.

However, as tourist activities have been put on halt in these areas officially due to spread of pandemic coronavirus so tourisms would not be possible till the further order of the government.
