Chrysanthemum Flower Show inaugurated in Karachi

Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said MQM has formulated a policy which is being implemented now.
Agreement with PTI government was made for solving the problems of Karachi, he said.
“Many meetings held in this connection but not a single segment was implemented. Karachi feeding whole country and solution of its problems should be the priority,” stated a press release issue by the media department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC)
According to it the mayor Karachi expressed these views after inaugurating the Chrysanthemum Flower Show in district central on Monday.
Mayor Karachi said that district municipal administrations were promoting public activities but the city problems were remaining unsolved. Basic problems could be solved with providing resources to district administrations.
He said we have filed a petition on the powers of local bodies in the Supreme Court and we expect an early decision on this.
He said that problems in Karachi were not on the priority of federal or provincial government and that is the reason of our quitting the federal cabinet. People of Karachi are frustrated and now they only want their problems solved.
He said that guests came to our home, we served tea to them. The policy formulated already was being implemented in this connection. He said Bilawal Sahib offered us while seeing the opportunity but the People’s party ruling since 12 years and they did not need us for solving the problems of people.
He said the citizens knew all this and they are more sensible.
Chairman dmc central Rehan Hashmi said that they had been holding this show regularly after preparing flowers with its own resources. Sports programs will also be held in district central. The director parks central Nadeem Hanif gave briefing on this occasion, the press release concluded.
